This is where we grew up. We were raised in East Austin. All of our family is here...We were looking at buying a house in Austin but the taxes and houses here were sky high...

 

When we found out about the program, it was explained to us with renting the land, we wouldn't have to pay property taxes.

We were excited because we knew then that we would be able to become homeowners!
